Study of Competition Issues in Data-Driven Markets in Canada
Commissioned research, co-authored with Vass Bednar and Ana Qarri, testing whether Canada's Competition Act is fit for purpose for the digital economy. Using scenarios grounded in case studies, the study examined how the Competition Act applies to digital business strategies and whether it can effectively curb practices that undermine competition, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The study was an important input to the 2022 to 2024 reforms to the Canadian Competition Act.
